Department of Ayurveda
Ayurvedic specialty in Batra Hospital & Medical Research Centre started on 1st November 1996. It was the first and foremost Ayurvedic specialty in Delhi. It was started with noble cause to treat the needy as well as poor patients without charging consultation and also medicine distribution charges. In this connection it is proudly said that three days medicines distributed with free of cost since its inception.
Ayurveda is a science of life which deals with not only curative aspects but also preventive aspects of the disease. It emphasizes on the total life style of the person starting from awakening from bed (Dina carya) to sleep at night (Ratri carya). Routine regimen, seasonal regimen, behavioural regimen and dietary regimen are the unique features of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda has great emphasis on prevention of disease through a specialized branch Rasayana Tantra (Rejuvenation of body tissues). In this branch a great deal about nutrition, sustaining of aging process are described which is very very useful in present times too. Beauty, cosmetics and moral values are also emphasized in this branch.
In this center we are running a paid OPD for general public and corporate daily from 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. Patients visiting this center are not only from allover India but also from foreign countries like Canada, USA, England, Bangladesh, Thailand and Nepal.
Unlike modern system of medicine Ayurveda give stress on every individual. Each and every individual has different constitution, temperament, behaviour, patience, working capacity etc. and based on thorough examination and investigations of the patients individually diagnosis is made and then finally treated accordingly.
(ii) Diagnostic facilities
Ayurveda has different types of patient examinations such as three fold examination (Darshana, sparshana, and prashna) six fold examination (examination of five sensory organs and interrogation); eight fold examination (examination of pulse, urine, stool, tongue, sound, touch, vision and complexion) ten fold examination (physical constitution, morbidity, tissue compatibility, compactness or organs, measurement of organs of the body, homologation, psychic conditions, power of intake and digestion of food, power of physical exercise, and age etc. All the authentic examinations are thoroughly done as per the need to investigate the disease in this centre apart from modern investigations in order to explore accurate diagnosis.
(iii) Therapeutic facilities
Treatment advised to the patient with is not only drugs but also change in dietary and behavioural regimen as per the suitability of disease. Patients are increasing day by day to have the Ayurvedic treatment due to high success rate. In this center patients of Rheumatoid arthritis, Osteo arthritis, Gout, G.T.I. disorders, Chronic skin disorders, Migrane, Chronic constipation, Insomnia, Sinusitis are treated with encouraging results.
Special care and treatment evaluated to control Diabetes mellitus, Dyslipidaemeas, Bronchial asthma, Mental stress, Depression, Vigour and vitality, Psychosomatic diseases, Infertility and common gynecological problems like all types of discharges apart from menopausal syndrome. Excellent and time tested therapies for Acne, skin pigmentation disorders, cosmetic problems, and also to control of graying as well as falling of hairs available in this center. |
