A Hybrid Dual Head SPECT-CT System from Siemens (Symbia-T) has been installed in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. This has replaced the previous ADAC Dual Head SPECT Gamma Camera. In addition to all the studies being performed by the previous machine the present equipmnet has the potential to perform attenuation correction and anatomical localization of abnormalities detected on Nuclear Imaging. This adds to the diagnostic capability of Nuclear Imaging.
