1. All beds are equipped with advanced monitors (
having ECG, invasive and non- invasive pressures, saturation,
etc.) connection from manifold systems (O2, compressed air
& suction ) with central monitor at central nursing
station. ICU is having central air-conditioning system.
Advanced ventilators, separate ABG machines, electrolyte
machine, BIPAP and other necessary ICU supportive systems
are also present.

The CTVS ICU which consists of 32 beds is managed by an
efficient team of doctors and nursing staff who are specially
trained in this field. The ratio of patient : nursing staff
is 1:1. The mortality rate is less than 2% which is good
enough to boast of.

CCUs & ICUs are managed by doctors very well experienced
in the field & only trained nurses are posted in these
critical areas.

More than 1200 cases are performed every year which includes
very rare paediatric cases There is a special paediatric
unit which takes care of the paediatric and neo- natal cardiac
surgery cases which is managed by efficient doctors and
nursing staff. The success rate of these complicated cases
which are rejected by the other hospitals are quite high.

The infection rate is negligible.

Senior Surgeons and their Assistants stay in the Campus,
which helps in Emergency care of the surgical patients.

Batra Heart Centre boasts of routine program of minimally
invasive CABG. Total arterial revascularization on beating
heart is routine . Recently total CABG is also being done
from left side of the chest which is a new procedure ( thoracab)
with the introduction of beating heart and thoracab the
overall quality & results of CABG has improved significantly.
